Anne Arundel County Democratic Central Committee Seeks Applicants to Serve on the Anne Arundel County Board of Elections
Glen Burnie, Md - The Anne Arundel County Democratic Central Committee (AACDCC) is seeking applicants to serve on the
Anne Arundel County Board of Elections.
The AACDCC will vote to nominate 4 individuals. The names will be forwarded to the Governor of Maryland who will select 2 individuals to serve. Appointments will take place at the March 7 meeting of the AACDCC. The meeting is open to the general public.

To be eligible for appointment, an applicant must have been a registered voter in Anne Arundel County for the preceding 5 years. The term of service is for 4 years and begins in June of this year. Individuals may not hold or be candidates for public or party office.
Election Board members are also prohibited from taking part in political activity. All nominations made by the AACDCC are subject to approval by the Governor and consent of the Maryland Senate.
The Anne Arundel County Board of Elections has 5 members: 3 members are of the majority party (Republican), and 2 members are of the minority party (Democrat).
