Jacqueline Allsup

As a strong Democrat, Jacqueline is an both educator and community leader, Jacqueline has worked to achieve a quality of life for others and to bring about positive social and community change. As a retired Professor of Anne Arundel Community College, she is maximally involved in her church and community. Jacqueline served three terms as the president of the Anne Arundel County Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). She is a trailblazer and has been interviewed by news stations and appeared on talk shows speaking out about the disparity that exists in our community. Jackie was a speaker at Anne Arundel Community College “Empowering Women Leaders Symposium.” She received the Pathfinders award from the Women of Color and the Trailblazer Award from Bowie State University Department of Nursing. Jacqueline never asks anyone to do anything that she does not do herself.
She is a graduate of Leadership Anne Arundel, where she gained an awareness and understanding of county and regional issues, as well as acquired valuable hands-on experience. She earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Bowie State University. She attended Bates High School through the 11th grade but graduated from Glen Burnie High School class of 1966.
